I am running to be a voice for our public schools. I've been a rural Wisconsin resident for a long time; I was a teacher, and worked for the teachers union. Public schools are at the core of my career and are the heart of rural communities. I feel strongly about advocating for public education, especially when there are so many attempts to weaken it. Although I've been involved in politics for a long time, this is the first time running for office.

Stafsholt signed onto a letter to Governor Evers calling into question the validity of the 2020 election.
He also issued a statement saying he requested a comprehensive audit of the results and administration of the 2020 election.
